Match worth the big final
I just have to say one thing – it was a great game. The best in the World Cup by far! A lot of offensive football, actions on the both sides, drama and, what’s most important in footbal, a lot of great goals! And the one scored by Diego Forlan was just brilliant!
Germany with bronze medals!
Both teams deserved to win this game, but the winner could be only one and it’s Germany! First half ended with 1-1 result. Thomas Muller put Germany in the lead, but Edison Cavani scored few minutes later. Second 45 minutes were even better than first. Forlan scored a fantastic goal and this time it was Uruguay who was in the lead. But later Marcell Jansen scored a goal and it was equalized. Winning goal was scored in 82nd minute by Khedira and Germany ends up with the World Cup bronze! In stoppage time great opportunity forForlan, but his shot landed on the crossbar.
Hero of this game? For me – Digo Forlan. He proved, that he’s awesome player!
European champions Spain will face Netherlands in Sunday´s World Cup final.
In a rematch of the 2008 European Championship final that Spain won by same score. The winning goal this time came after 73 minutes.Carlos Puyol rose above Germany defenders to thunder a header from Xavi´s corner past Manuel Neuer.
Substitute Tony Kroos squandered a great chance to draw Germany level when he volleyed straight at Iker Casillas, but Spain held out to reach their first ever World Cup final.
In Sunday´s final in Soccer City, Spain will meet Netherlands, which also has never won soccer´s biggest price.

Germany is without doubt the favorites to win the World Cup after beating Argentina four to nil. Spain got their spot in the semi finals after a game winning goal once again scored by Villa.

Argentina – Germany 0-4
Germany scored an early goal and then managed to play solid defence with counter attacks trough the game. Argentina tried to get back in the game but instead Germany scored three more goals.
First goal was scored by Müller, fourth goal from the youngster so far. Miroslaw Klose scored twice and is along with Müller the top scorer for Germany with four goals.
Paraguay – Spain 0-1
A pretty boring game with only one goal, but besides that goal, two(!) missed penalties. And it all began with Paraguay player Cardozo and a bad penalty, saved by spanish keeper Casillasl. Only one minute later Spain got a penalty, Alonso scored but the referee said it had to be retaken, and Alonso missed…
Spain finally got the winning goal, and once again the goal was scored by David Villa. He is now the top scorer in the world cup with 5 goals.
Netherlands launched a remarkable second-half fightback to defeat Brazil and reach the World Cup semi-finals. Uruguay defeated Ghana 4-2 on penalties and will face Netherlands now in South Africa.
Netherlands – Brazil 2-1
Netherlands had to come from behind to avenge their heartbreaking defeats of 1994 and 1998 and book their place in the semi-finals. Robinho fired the Brazilians ahead with just 10 minutes gone. But Felipo Melo´s own goal after 53 minute and Wesley Sneijder won it 22 minutes from time.
Uruguay – Ghana 1-1 (4-2 on penalties)
With just seconds remaining in the extra-time Ghana were awarded a penalty when Uruguay´s Luis Suarez was sent-off, but Asamoah Gyan blasted the ball against the bar to let Uruguay off the hook and force penalties. Which Uruguay won.
Before that Sulley Muntari gave Ghana the lead in first half injury-time, but Uruguay were level 10 minutes after the break when Diego Forlan crashed a free-kick past keeper Kingson and the match went to penalties later.
Goal from Muntari and Forlan:
